①Application of abrasive and abrasive tools
It is mainly used for grinding and polishing of grinding wheel, emery cloth, abrasive belt, oilstones, grinding block, grinding head, grinding paste, monocrystalline silicon in photovoltaic products, polycrystalline silicon and piezoelectric crystal in electronic industry.
②Chemical application
It can be used as deoxidizer for steelmaking and reforming agent for cast iron structure, and can be used as a raw material for manufacturing silicon tetrachloride. It is an important raw material for the silicon rosin industry. Silicon carbide deoxidizer is a new type of strong composite deoxidizer, which replaces the traditional silicon powder carbon powder for deoxidation. Compared with the original process, the physical and chemical functions are more stable, the deoxidation effect is good, the deoxidation time is shortened, the resources are saved, and the resource is mobilized. ③For wear resistant, fire resistant and erosion resistant materials
Silicon carbide has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, high intensity, good heat conduction performance and impact resistance. Silicon carbide can be used in various metallurgical furnace linings, high temperature furnace kiln rods, silicon carbide sheets, lining boards, parry parts, saggers, silicon carbide crucibles, sic brick,etc.
Metallurgy, mining, electric power, chemical and other machinery on the lining board are mostly used single silicon carbide wear resistant lining board. This liner has good wear resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance, but its large defect is poor impact resistance,bending strength is also low. Especially when it is used as the lining plate for lower coke and lower ore in blast furnace, due to the poor bending and impact resistance, the lining plate is often broken, which affects the service life. Therefore, it is difficult to meet the requirements of various logistics conditions with a single wear-resistant liner.
